Building Block World: Pizza Delivery

This episode marks the return to real VHS footage. Alex got a Raspberry Pi, which proved to be more than capable of playing back video files and being recorded by a VHS tape.

The cold opening was based on a dream I had where the Famicom was able to play NES games without the use of an adapter. (IRL, you need an adapter for it to work.) That's really all there was to that dream.

The first scene was based on a dream I had in September of 2025 where I was at a mall, and there was a kiddie train ride. It was a pretty big one that went all around the mall, and it had a mascot, a purple hippo named “Shermo”. There was another one right next to Shermo’s, but nobody cared about it. I was feeling curious so I got on the train before it opened, and then it just randomly started and the staff and I started panicking. I knew I had to get outta there, as I was not willing to have my ass whooped. Thankfully, by the time I entered a different part of the mall, it was old news. There was also a part of the mall where Mr. Potato Head was doing standup (there were a few 80s-styled Potato Heads for sale based on the standup show.)

Not too long after I had said dream, Shermo became an inside joke with my friends, and we'd joke about how creepy and ominous he was, which eventually played into how I wrote him here.

During the moment where Earl notices the train's closed, he was originally going to say "What the hell?! It was just open a second ago!" This was shortened at the last minute to just "What the hell?!".

A lot of Bea's characteristics that were revealed in the second scene were Mary's idea, namely Bea liking guns simply "because they're cool and they shoot things," her claims of a dark soul, and her secret fondness for teddy bears.

I've had the idea of reverse psychology working perfectly on Paul for awhile, and I really wanted to incorporate it into an episode when I had the chance, hence its inclusion here.
