Building Block Studs: Happy Worm Sheds Her Skin At Last, After Five Years

Alex here. Yes, this was also written by me. For a series based on Kaie's dreams, I sure do contribute a lot don't I?

The plotline of the episode isn't based on any particular dream. Comparitively speaking, that seems to be a running theme with these Studs doesn't it?

Dylan came up with the title for this one. There were actually quite a few ideas for what we wanted to call this episode, including such classics as:

- An Uneventful Day
- This One's All About Will
- Season Finale
- It's a Potato Fruit Easter
- The Lasagna Incident
- An Old Friend
- Who Shot Mr. Furby?
- You Go to Hell Before You Die
- An Underwater Adventure

The giant Prickle toy was pulled from a dream where Trendmasters expanded on their Gumby lineup. To quote Kaie on this one, they made giant versions of Prickle, Goo, and the Blockheads, and while Goo and the Blockheads looked more or less like they should, Prickle's mouth was squared off at the corner of his lips and it looked weird.

If it wasn't obvious, the ending of this episode is based entirely on how the first episode (Our Story Begins) ended. You can really see how Kaie improved his animation skills over the last 5 years... which says a lot considering what series we're talking about!

Overall the whole episode was completed in like two days! I suppose it's easy to make quick episodes for a series that's animated like this, but still! Hats off to the team!
